What initially attracted you to Jellyfish, and what motivated you to join the Sales Team?
I first heard of Jellyfish in the fall of 2019, when a former colleague joined the company. Fast forward to 2021, Jellyfish received their Series B funding round in January, and after I read that Jellyfish wanted to be the ‘Salesforce for Engineering’ I had to learn more.
Throughout the interview process, I met with the Jellyfish co-founders, my current Director Mike Sansone, and our Head of Global Revenue Ben Solari, and it became very clear that Jellyfish not only had a great vision of what we are building but the right culture and leadership to make it happen.
When I was looking for my next role I wanted to find a company that was defining a category, with a positive culture and leadership team that promotes teamwork and collaboration and a product that solves real challenges for its customers – it was clear early in the interview process that Jellyfish was the right fit for me.
What do you like to do outside of work?
I really enjoy spending time with my family and friends, I have 3 nieces and 2 nephews, and love being the fun uncle! I am a big Boston sports fan, love live music, and enjoy spending time on the lake and playing mediocre golf. I moved to Charlotte NC in 2022 and have really enjoyed experiencing a new state and city.
How does Jellyfish encourage innovation and creativity in your role, and how does that make your work more fun?
Innovation and idea sharing is something that is prevalent throughout Jellyfish. It’s really refreshing to be able to collaborate and share ideas between teams as we all work toward a shared goal.
As an example, on the sales team, we have a shared Slack channel that is dedicated to sharing highlights like booking new meetings and signing on new customers. In this channel team members share innovative ways that they were able to resonate with prospects and land meetings, and it’s a great way to share best practices and creativity throughout the team. It’s fun to see what different team members come up with and to celebrate our wins as a team.
What do you think sets Jellyfish apart from others in the Tech industry?
There are a few things that I believe truly help set Jellyfish apart from others in the industry. These include our relentless approach to learning and adapting (or our value of ‘Surf to Morph’), the level of teamwork throughout the organization, and the speed at which we move.
We are defining a category in the Engineering Management Platform space, and we are moving at an incredibly high and deliberate pace to deliver value to our customers.
If you had to sum up why you like working at Jellyfish in one sentence, what would it be?
We are all working together to build something great, and doing so in a very thoughtful way from both a culture and innovation perspective.
