Jellyfish is honored to be selected for the Intelligent Apps 40 list, presented by Madrona, Goldman Sachs, PitchBook, Microsoft and Amazon.
Now in its second year, the list identifies private companies at different stages that are building and enabling applications leveraging modern data science. Intelligent apps harness various forms of AI to process historical and real-time data to create a continuous learning system. The 2022 IA40 winners were determined by a panel of over 50 judges from 40 top-tier venture capital investors, along with a machine learning model from PitchBook.
“At Jellyfish, we’re utilizing machine learning to provide complete visibility into engineering organizations and help engineering leaders make better decisions,” said Jellyfish CEO Andrew Lau. “We’re thrilled to be recognized among our fellow IA40 winners, and excited to continue driving the ecosystem forward by applying data science to our product and research initiatives.”
Venture investors who specialize in this industry area nominated over 250 companies that they believe will transform and define the next generation of software with application intelligence. Madrona and PitchBook collected votes for the top 40 from investors while applying PitchBook’s machine learning model trained on years of data that predicts the probabilities of positive outcomes for private companies.
“Since launching the first IA40 last fall, the pace of interest for investing in innovative companies applying AI/ML in novel ways has steadily increased despite public market volatility,” said Matt McIlwain, managing director at Madrona Ventures. “The 2022 group has raised over $5 billion in the last 10 months. We believe companies leveraging data infrastructure to build AI and ML differentiated products will define the future and we are excited to sponsor this annual initiative. Congratulations to the team at Jellyfish and we are looking forward to supporting the ecosystem and your progress.”
