Siigo transforms board reporting and roadmap planning with Jellyfish

Customer
Description

Siigo is a leading Latin American software company providing cloud-based accounting and administrative solutions for small and medium-sized businesses. The company empowers finance teams to work smarter through automation, integrations, and business-critical visibility

At Siigo, Jaime Lopez Vivas, Senior Vice President of Engineering, has reimagined how his teams approach strategic planning and operational alignment. As the company’s engineering organization continues to scale, Jellyfish has become a core tool for connecting technical execution to measurable business priorities.

“We use capacity planner to get an idea of the effort before planning a roadmap, which gives us a realistic projection,” Jaime explained.

With greater foresight into upcoming work, Siigo can now plan more confidently — translating engineering inputs into roadmaps that are not only data-driven but also strategically grounded.

Turning engineering data into strategic visibility

Jellyfish has become a foundational part of how Siigo communicates engineering priorities — both internally and externally. At the board level, engineering leaders are expected to present their direct collaborators, OKRs, and active projects in a structured, consistent format.

“Each engineering leader must put on their board slides the direct collaborators, OKRs, and projects,” Jaime said.

This structure enables clearer conversations across leadership tiers and reinforces alignment between technical execution and business goals.

That clarity also extends to Siigo’s collaboration with its private equity sponsor, AKKR. Jellyfish gives Jaime the ability to clearly surface where engineering effort is being spent and how it maps to strategic priorities.

Jellyfish helps me show AKKR where we are spending the most effort through investment categories and OKR priorities.

The result: more productive, data-informed discussions with AKKR’s operating partners and value creation teams, grounded in a shared view of engineering investments.

Focusing on team health and engineering impact

At its core, Siigo uses Jellyfish to better evaluate the performance and wellbeing of its engineering teams — while keeping a close eye on how those efforts map back to real costs.

“We primarily use Jellyfish to review team health and the costs associated with OKRs and projects,” Jaime explained.

This insight empowers the team to better allocate resources, understand the cost of key initiatives, and ensure that engineering work is continuously delivering business value.
